About KASSEL

KASSEL VENTURES PHILIPPINES, INC.
CORPORATE PROFILE

On April 6, 1998, a group of professional managers from Dutch multinational Philips Electronics incorporated KASSEL Ventures Phils., Inc. Coming from complementary fields ranging from sales and marketing to human resources, finance, manufacturing and quality management, the team of 8 wanted to apply all the skills learned from Philips into their own company.

And so it was that the team’s expertise in OEM (original equipment manufacturing) was put to the fore. Alan L. Lee, former general manager of the Consumer Products (Appliance) Division of Philips Philippines (where he worked for 30 years), spearheaded the entire start up process that encompassed product sourcing and selection, quality assurance testing, importation, packaging and label design, marketing, logistics, product distribution, sales, trade relations and after sales servicing. Thus was born the KASSEL brand of home appliances.

OUR VISION:
We will strive to become a major player in the field of eco-friendly lighting & consumer durables as we actively help in the fight against global warming.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Provide commercial & residential customers with energy-efficient, environmentally friendly lighting products & consumer durables sourced from a select group of suppliers that adheres to international standards of quality.

Now on its 13th year of operations, KASSEL Ventures Phils., Inc. boasts of a nationwide network of close to 100 dealer outlets. The company supports its dealers with a one-year warranty on parts and labor and has some forty authorized service centers in key cities all over the country. Its appliance line-up includes cooking ranges imported from Turkey; home theater systems, video karaoke systems, microphones and washing machines, targeting the ABCD markets. KASSEL also introduced a low-end video karaoke player to take advantage of the Filipinos’ undying penchant for singing. Customer feedback has been encouraging and sales are expected to pick-up further.

From this initial thrust in appliance sales and distribution, the company embarked on other activities which made use of its existing nationwide network as well as its team’s exposure to electronics and electrical products. Street lighting projects with various electric cooperatives and private enterprises were completed in 2001, among which were those with the following entities:
  • Manila Jockey Club
  • Pasay City Public Market
  • Batanes Electric Cooperative
  • Siargao Electric Cooperative
  • Bicol Electric CooperativeLoyola Grand Villas
The company also markets Kassel ProVet, an enzyme based disinfectant, deodorizer and sanitizer. This green product can be used for garbage dumpsites, meat processing plants, hog farms, poultry farms, plantations, composting facilities, wet markets and public toilets.

In line with the global clamor to advocate more eco-friendly pursuits, KASSEL is actively marketing LED (Light Emitting Diode) –based lighting products and systems for streets and roadways as well as for other commercial and industrial applications under its BrightLux brand. BrightLux LED is touted to be the lighting product of the future. Compared with a compact fluorescent lamp which has a maximum of 16,000 burning hours, LEDs make 50,000 burning hours.
